The critically acclaimed Return of the Obra Dinn is making its way to the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2020.
The announcement was made during September 4, 2019’s Nintendo Direct, which showcased numerous new games coming to the Switch.
Return of the Obra Dinn was originally released last October and was developed and published by 3909 LLC. Set during the early 1800s, Return of the Obra Dinn has the player fill the shoes of an insurance inspector from the East India Company. The game begins with The Obra Dinn washing into one of London’s ports with all of its crew either dead or missing. With a magical time-warping stopwatch in hand, the player must travel between the past and present to identify each of the sixty missing crew members and determine how they died or disappeared.
Utilizing a first-person view and minimalistic art design, Return of the Obra Dinn has won multiple awards in Art Direction, Game Design, and more.
