Screenshot Saturday – August 28th

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, August 28.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out the previous list here!

Schim

It’s been a year since we’ve started doing the Screenshot Saturday round-ups, and SCHiM was one of the earliest games that we featured! The developer (@Ewoud3D) shared this short video in this tweet, and the game still looks minimalistic, unique, and satisfying. You can wishlist SCHiM on Steam now.

Bo

This video was shared by the developer of Bō (@SquidShock) in this tweet, and it’s absolutely breath taking! The eastern origami inspired art style is so lovely, and the character design and animations fit perfectly with the tone of the game. Bō is launching its Kickstarter campaign soon, so if you like what you see, make sure to check it out!

 A Cozy Tree House

Cozy Tree House

We love to see amazing pixel art scenes every week in our round-ups, and this week, @Hommet_ had us covered with this tweet. The tree house design, and the way it’s sectioned so we can see inside of it, is brilliant, and we can’t wait to see where this projects leads!

Neon Cyber Desert

This video from Neon Cyber Desert was shared by the solo developer (@gypynkt) in this tweet. The atmosphere, the environment, and the aesthetics of the character look so good that there’s no wonder the developer lost track of time while playtesting it!  We also hope to get lost in this world, and are looking forward to more news about the game.

My Friendly Neighborhood

Sometimes bugs and glitches lead to awesome, or in case of My Friendly Neighborhood, morbidly terrifying scenes! I never knew how creepy a colorful game with puppets could be, but @Ducky_Szymanski was here to show us with this tweet. You can wishlist My Friendly Neighborhood on Steam right now.

Editor’s Note: Gameluster misnamed one of the titles shown in the article. The error has been corrected.
