Screenshot Saturday – March 20th

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, March 20.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out the previous list here!

Elderand

We love seeing design progress in Screenshot Saturdays, and what’s better than seeing Eldarand (@Elderandgame), A returning title for these roundups, looking even better than before? The developer shared the new jumping animation in this tweet and showcased the design improvements to the animation, character design, and art style. We can’t wait to see more of this game!

The Hopebringer

The developers of The Hopebringer (@THopebringer) shared this exciting image in this tweet. The game looks like a great RPG, with amazing visual design, and AAA-level quality. We are excited to see more footage from this game in the coming weeks!

Blu

The most amazing thing about this gif happens when it restarts. This short scene from Blu (@blu_vs) was shared in this tweet. The transition of the lighting, background elements, and the atmosphere is so smooth that it’s hard to notice how big a change it is until the loop restarts. The game looks impressive, and we are excited to see where it leads!

A Lovely Lakeside Town

Untitled Game Screenshot

This untitled project was shared by the developer @MaxNielsenDev in this tweet. The game looks like a very relaxing and fun city builder, with adorable model designs and a beautiful color palette. We can’t wait to see what the game will look like, and hopefully we will have a name for this lovely project soon.

Blabberf

This short gif was shared by @Blabberf in this tweet. The brief footage almost raises the bar on what pixel art can achieve. To create such beautiful effects with just a character and a sword is really impressive, and we are gonna have our eyes on what more this developer will share in the future!
