It is that time of year again where we are now starting to see games getting pushed back to next year instead of their initially planned releases for this year. After last weeks announcement that Warner Brothers Interactive’s Dying Light is now coming next year we know have our latest game joining the list. Ubisofts The Division is now set for a release sometime next year. A post on the games official website states that The Division has been delayed to next year.
An excerpt from the statement reads:
Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don’t want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it’s ready.
We want to thank you again for the exceptional ongoing support. Community is at the heart of what we are doing and we’re very much designing the game with you in mind, so your involvement means a lot to us.
Ubisoft has said that development is getting stronger and they can’t wait to show us what they have been doing at E3, so there is something to look forward to.
Lets hope that if the game is taking longer it will mean it will be better then it would have been if it had been released this year, it seems likely and based on what Ubisoft has already showed us the game could be good so what’s a little while longer to wait if the game could improve.
