The Last Of Us Day: A Round Up Of What’s To Come

Ahead of tomorrow’s annual The Last Of Us Day, (renamed in light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic), Naughty Dog provided a small preview via the Playstation Blog on what is to come from their seventh year of celebrations.

The Last Of Us Day starts tomorrow from 9:00 am PT / 6:00 pm CET. Mondo’s contributions to the event will be the debut of a vinyl release to The Last of Us Part II Original Soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla and Mac Quayle, as well as two screen-printed posters. The art for the vinyl and posters comes courtesy of illustrator Tula Lotay.

Pre-order for the vinyl will be available at launch tomorrow. Naughty Dog is also unveiling a board game based on The Last Of Us, in partnership with the creative minds behind Bloodborne: The Board Game and God of War: The Card Game, CMON. According to Naughty Dog, the board game is “already underway, and we can’t wait to share more info with you when the time is right.”

There will also be an Abby Cosplay Guide, (seen above), following the success of a previous guide for Ellie. The guide is available in PDF, featuring “high-resolution renders of every facet of Abby’s design, including detailed shots of her clothing, weapons, equipment, and hairstyle.”

Naughty Dog has further teamed up with Gaming Heads with exclusive premium statues. A 16” Ellie statue from Part II is available in three unique editions: Base, Stealth, and Hunter editions. Meanwhile, from Mamegyorai Collectibles, they’ve produced a modular statue, sculpted and painted by Masato Ohata, of Joel and Ellie, standing at 1/9th scale. The post reads that they “can be displayed individually or adjoined to form a unified scene.” They can be pre-ordered and will be shipped next March. But they won’t be cheap.

Naughty Dog has created a PS4 system theme of the game’s completion screen, (Ellie’s boat washed up on the California beach), available now on the Playstation Store. Naughty Dog further revealed that all their existing TLOU2 themes and avatars will be free on the PS Store until September 28, (Monday), at 11:59 pm PT.

Lastly, there are deals on existing TLOU merch, the original and DLC games, a photo mode contest, a t-shirt, mug, a Joel Funko Pop! figurine, and a limited range of special edition The Last of Us Part II Taylor 314ce and GS Mini guitars via the PS Gear Store.
