To coincide with The Sims 4′s 7th birthday, EA will be launching, or as we should say, re-launching their second Game Pack ‘Spa Day‘. The upcoming new features were explored in a livestream over on The Sims‘ YouTube channel, along with the release of a new trailer for what fans can expect.
The original The Sims 4: Spa Day Game Pack was released all the way back in 2015, but now players who already own the pack can update it for free on September 7. But what is to be expected in the new rollout? Notably, there will be new spa treatments including manicures, pedicures, and face masks – features that the original was lacking! The nail care element seems to be a focus of the update, as there are new nail colours, shapes and designs. The activities also result in a boost in the pre-existing Wellness skill.
There are new player aspirations your Sims can aim for including the Zen Guru and Self-Care Specialist, to take their commitment to the next level. There are also new yoga poses coming, which for the first time, child Sims are no longer going to be missing out on. Child Sims can also enjoy meditation as part of the update. The trailer also confirms that “Sims can even earn money by guiding others down the path to mindfulness.”
Prior to the announcement, there was a leak of the news which was reported on by The Sims Community forum. This was after Google cached the refreshed webpage, resulting in eagle-eyed fans being able to clock the news. However, The Sims team hadn’t exactly made the announcement a surprise, which had been teased weeks prior to the livestream.
The Spa Day update is available on September 7 from 10am PST on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
