Total War: Warhammer has been delayed

Developer Creative Assembly has today revealed that they will be delaying their upcoming game Total War: Warhammer, as part of this delay the game will pushed from its original launch in April back a month to May.

The reason behind this is not actually in terms of development but rather giving reviewers a fair chance to see what the game has to offer and provide a fair review. Development does sit as a minor priority as the company’s Mike Simpson who is the creative director on the project stated:

“This could be the best Total War game we’ve ever made. We don’t want to rush it.”

In addition he also discussed the reason behind the delay also being for the prelaunch reviewers stating:

“It’s an enormous game and we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch.”

“Many thanks to the huge number of people who have pre-ordered and are eagerly awaiting release day. We’re pulling out all the stops for you.”

Total War: Warhammer arrives on PC on May 24th.
