Volume’s Playstation Vita release date has been revealed

Mike Bithell the guy who brought us Thomas was Alone a few years back brought out a brand new game this year in the form of Volume, his new stealth action game was released for PC as well as Playstation 4 all the way back in August with a Vita version planned. From what I can understand the Vita version was supposed to launch alongside both other versions but was unfortunately delayed as suffered from development “roadblocks”. This problem appears to have been cleared now however as Mike Bithell has revealed exactly when Playstation Vita owners will be able to get their hands on the new game.

Its been revealed that the Playstation Vita version will arrive in North America on January 5th while the European version will arrive a day later on January 6th. Mike Bithell explained the delay in a statement:

“I know many of you have been waiting eagerly for this version of the game,” Bithell said. “It’s been a source of frustration for me that we didn’t get to release it alongside the other platforms. We missed our launch day for personal reasons, but having missed that date, we decided to take the opportunity to pour a great deal of attention into the Vita version.”

It has also been revealed that Volume is a cross-buy title, should you own the Playstation 4 version you will receive the Vita version for no extra charge. Meaning if you have been looking forward to the Vita release you will be able to play straightaway if you own the newer console, this also works in reverse.
