If you’re looking for a solution to the Mayachin Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, look no further. This notoriously tricky Shrine, located just north of Hyrule Field’s Skyview Tower, is home to the mind-bending “A Fixed Device” puzzle. This guide provides a solution to help Tears of the Kingdom players claim this Shrine’s Light of Blessing.
Mayachin Shrine Solution
The main goal of this shrine is to hit a ball that is falling on the opposite end of the room into a target that is on the left-hand side. When you first arrive in the temple, there’s a spinning platform. Jump on it to get to the main area. Once at the main area, there’s a pressure plate and a crystal. Stand on the pressure plate to make the target pop out on the left-hand side. When you hit the crystal it will make a mechanism in the center turn clockwise. When hit again goes back to its original rotation, counterclockwise. To the left of the mechanism is a pile of what looks like pillars and spikes.
Attach a spike to the side of the mechanism using the Ultrahand ability. Then, attach one of the white pillars to the flat part sticking out and plant the other white pillar to the end. This essentially makes the mechanism turn into a baseball bat. As the ball rolls towards it, use the white marks on the floor as a spacing tool and just hit the ball with the bat, turning the mechanism counterclockwise. It may take you a few tries, but it will eventually hit the target!
That’s all you need to do to solve this Shrine and claim your Light of Blessing! However, like every puzzle in Tears of the Kingdom, this one has lots of different possible solutions. How did you solve the Mayachin Shrine? Comment below and let us know!
