Life Is Strange Collection Box Announced – Only Has 2 Of 5 Games On Disc

Square Enix just revealed a brand new release with the Life is Strange Collection, a PS5 physical game that combines all five Life is Strange games releases into one package. Unfortunately though, as the official Square Enix store listing reveals, only two of the five included games are actually going to be on the disc included.

Both Life is Strange: True Colors and Life is Strange: Double Exposure are included on the PS5 disc in the boxed game, but Life is Strange RemasteredLife is Strange: Before The Storm Remastered and Life is Strange 2 all come in the form of a redemption code to download the games digitally on the PS5 store. It’s increasingly popular for physical releases to include digital game codes, as publishers seek to cut costs on their boxed games.

The Life is Strange Collection uses the Remastered versions of its first game and the prequel.

The Life is Strange Collection is also noteworthy for including the remastered versions of both Life is Strange and its prequel Before the Storm, with these remasters containing bugs that are still yet to be fixed by the developers. However, the collection does also include a code to redeem all DLC and pre-order items for the Life is Strange games, giving players who opt into the collection the fullest possible experience with all customization options offered by the DLC.

The Life is Strange Collection releases on Oct. 2 on PS5. Are you interested in the collection, and how do you feel about the included on-disc and digital redemption games?
