The monthly PlayStation Plus games that will be available to members of all tiers of the subscription service just got revealed for August, and it’s one stacked month! Both PS5 and PS4 owners will be able to claim Lies of P, Day Z and My Hero One’s Justice 2 for themselves from August 5 until early September.
This is a great lineup for monthly PlayStation Plus games, especially considering we’re wrapping up July which also featured some incredible freebies like Diablo IV. The highlight of this selection is probably Lies of P, a Soulslike inspired by Pinocchio, in which the titular puppet needs to try and find Mr. Geppetto from the classic story. However, things take a grim twist on his journey, leaving Pinocchio fighting for survival against the killer puppets in the city of Krat. It’s a great concept, and it’s a game we called one of the best of 2023.

Both Day Z and My Hero One’s Justice 2 are both also well received with their audience, with the former being a survival game for up to 60 players to try and survive an infected world (and against fellow survivors), and the latter being a My Hero Academia 3D arena fighting game. If the games aren’t enough for you, then Sony is also throwing in a special set of 15th anniversary avatars for PlayStation Plus subscribers to use on their accounts. The games getting avatars include Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök and Twisted Metal.
