Splatoon Raiders is officially launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23rd, 2026 – and Nintendo has dropped a brand-new trailer to go along with the announcement. The single-player-focused spinoff marks the first new entry in the Splatoon series since Splatoon 3 in 2022, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be the ink-soaked solo adventure fans have been asking for.

The new trailer fleshes out what Raiders actually looks like in action: it retains the sharp, ink-splattering shooter gameplay the series is known for but wraps it in a full campaign structure. You play as a mechanic teaming up with Deep Cut – Frye, Shiver, and Big Man – to raid the mysterious Spirhalite Islands, taking on hordes of Salmonids (the aggressive sea creatures long-time fans will recognise from Salmon Run) in search of treasure. Whilst the game is described as single-player-focused, it does support co-op for up to four players, both online and locally, so you won’t have to go it alone if you’d rather bring friends. Community reaction has been enthusiastic, with fans particularly buzzing over the Deep Cut integration and the promise of loadout customisation with mechanical gadgets alongside your ink weapons.

The announcement also helps fill out what is currently a fairly lean Switch 2 lineup for the back half of 2026 – the console has been selling strongly, and big titles are starting to lock in their dates. Splatoon 3 shifted 14 million units, so Raiders has a sizeable fanbase to draw from, and Nintendo has confirmed pre-orders open May 1st.
