A new Kung Fu Panda game is on its way

Get ready Kung Fu Panda fans as Little Orbit the company responsible for many movie based games including the recent Planes Fire and Rescue game has announced a new Kung Fu Panda game titles Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (a very Kung Fu Panda name I might add) is coming from developer Vicious Cycle. Here is an overview of the game:

Developed by Vicious Cycle, Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends will bring fans a fresh and fist-pumping way to experience DreamWorks Animation’s beloved franchise with explosive, fast-as-lightning action! With a variety of challenging local and online multiplayer levels, familiar film locations and 20 playable fan-favorite Kung Fu Panda characters, the game will appeal to gamers who like their brawler games served up with a side of laughter.

Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends focuses on “an epic tournament where all warriors compete for glory.” Fans can expect “star popular characters from the first two Kung Fu Panda films” at launch. When Kung Fu Panda 3 hits theaters, the game will be updated with new film-specific content.

Little Orbit and Vicious Cycle are packing in a lot into this game including both a single player and multiplayer which will each include a good number of modes. For the lone wolf’s out there who live in single player you will be able to experience the Tournament of Legends, Practice and Tutorial modes. Multiplayer has a bit more going for it though with VS., Team Play and Tag Team modes. Better still there are plans for both online and local multiplayer to be included in the game meaning players can play in their preferred format.

We should expect Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends to arrive this Fall, and the game will be available on multiple platforms including the 3DS, Wii U, Xbox One, PC, Playstation 4 and don’t despair gamers who have yet to adopt a current generation system as the game will also be available on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
