Everyone is here – at last! The final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo, featuring DLC character Sora from Kingdom Hearts, was officially unveiled during the September 13 Nintendo Direct event. The figurine features Sora in his classic outfit from the original Kingdom Hearts game, wielding his iconic Keyblade, the Kingdom Key.
Sora will be joining Nintendo’s extensive Amiibo lineup sometime in 2024 – a more specific release date was not revealed at this time. Also unrevealed is what Sora will unlock when scanned in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and other games, although his Ultimate version will likely unlock an Amiibo Fighter version of the character, similar to previous combatants. Players can then train and level this Amiibo Fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Multiplayer Mode.

In addition, Nintendo had plenty of other Amiibo news for fans during the Direct livestream. The previously revealed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zelda and Ganondorf Amiibo were given an official release date of November 3, 2023. Each of the two Amiibo will unlock a special paraglider fabric when scanned in to Tears of the Kingdom. They will also spawn helpful weapons and materials, although the exact details of these items have not yet been revealed. The two Amiibo will be sold separately, rather than as a set or bundle.
Finally, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is getting a pair of Amiibo featuring the characters Noah and Mio, who will be sold together as a set beginning on January 19, 2024. It has not yet been announced if Nintendo has any intention to sell these Amiibo separately at a later date. When scanned into Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the Noah Amiibo unlocks Consul Armor for Noah and Leisure Outfits for Noah, Lanz, and Eunie. The Mio Amiibo unlocks Consul Armor for Mio and Leisure Outfits for Mio, Sena, and Tanion.
