There’s no denying that Baldur’s Gate 3 features some of the best enemy bosses seen in an RPG. To defeat these menacing creatures, apart from good weapons and armor, one must have the best abilities available. One such ability that you may be aware of of is the Slayer Form, which massively boosts your character’s attributes while turning them into a monster. This guide covers everything you need to do to unlock the powerful Slayer Form for your character in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How To Unlock The Slayer Form In Baldur’s Gate 3
In order to unlock the Slayer Form in Baldur’s Gate 3, first, you will have to take the path of the Dark Urge Origin. This is an alternative evil, ruthless, and murderous character that changes many story beats and dialogue choices. From the very start of the game, during character creation, you will have to choose this particular path. Later in the game, your Dark Urge character must choose to sacrifice a companion in order to gain the Slayer Form ability.
Partway through the game, an NPC (whose name is not revealed here to avoid spoilers) will visit your camp and the Dark Urge will have no choice but to kill them. Following this, Sceleritas Fel, an NPC who serves the Dark Urge, will show up in your camp and reward you with a magical cloak named Deathstalker Mantle.
Later on, during Act 2, you will get the opportunity to unlock the Slayer Form. The prerequisite for this stage is that you must visit the Last Light Inn and kill a Selunite cleric named Isobel in the Last Light Inn. Talk to Isobel, then rescue her from the forces who attempt to capture her. You can’t get the Slayer Form if she dies or is captured during this battle, so be careful!
Once you rescue Isobel, Sceleritas Fel will appear again, and this time, he has come up with a deal. He will ask you to kill Isobel, which you must agree to if you want the Slayer Form. After killing her, head back to camp, take a Long Rest, and wait until Sceleritas emerges again to reward you with the Slayer Form ability. You can use the Slayer Form in battle to deal large amounts of damage, make enemies bleed, and jump extremely far.
That’s how you unlock the Slayer Form in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you find this guide helpful, make sure to share it with your friends! Let us know if you have any questions regarding Baldur’s Gate 3 or if you want any specific topics to be covered in future GameLuster guides!
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 5, with an Xbox release planned for the future.
Not true. Isobel was captured in my playthrough and I still got the slayer form.
Same
This is completely untrue. If you kill Isobel at the first opportunity when you meet her, you can kill her and the rest of the town, then get the Slayer form as described above. If you save her then Sceleritas Fel will force you to kill one of your companions, and then you also get Slayer form (there may be a way to avoid this that I haven’t found).
