Batch of Pokémon Box Arts and Release Dates Revealed

It’s been a busy day for The Pokémon Company, with release dates and box art for Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus all revealed on the official website. We’ll be getting a double dose of Pokémon in winter, with the Diamond and Pearl remakes releasing November 19th this year, then Legends: Arceus not that far behind on January 28th 2022.

Their respective legendaries once again take front and centre for the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl box art. A dual pack will also be available for players who want to purchase both games.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is putting a different spin on things, as an Action RPG “premake” with an open world version of Sinnoh “as it existed in the past” for players to explore, after being tasked with creating the first Pokédex. Compared to the stripped back designs for the Diamond and Pearl remakes, the box art for this one certainly hints at that sprawling open world feeling too.

We’re bound to see more of Legends: Arceus and quite possibly Diamond and Pearl too during an E3 Nintendo Direct in a couple of weeks, so eager Pokémon fans should get a good look at how it’s come along since the February trailer.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus will all be releasing for the Nintendo Switch.
