Post-launch details for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night have been revealed, along with preorder bonuses.
Through an update on Bloodstained's Kickstarter page, it was revealed that there will be a day one update. The update will include a Boss Rush mode, as well as a Speedrun mode. There will be a Pure Miriam outfit as well. After launch, there will be 4 new modes released: Roguelike, Chaos, Classic, and Boss Revenge. There will also be two additional playable characters, as well as local and online multiplayer for certain modes.
Also revealed was the "Iga's Back Pack" DLC. This DLC pack will be available on day one and will cost $9.99. Those who purchase the DLC will be able to fight Bloodstained's creator, Koji Igarashi, himself. Players will be able to earn the powerful Swordwhip weapon by defeating him.
The preorder bonuses for Bloodstained have also been revealed. Those who preorder the game from Best Buy will receive a special steel-book case with artwork by Mana Ikeda. PlayStation Store preorders come with a dynamic theme and will receive a 10% discount. Anyone who purchases the game on PC from GOG or Steam will get a 10% discount as well.
Bloodstained follows Miriam, an orphan who was scarred by an alchemist curse that gradually crystallizes her body. In order to save herself and the world, she must defeat the summoner Gebel and the minions of hell. The game was one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever, raising over $5.5 million. The title had been set for a 2017 release but was delayed due to development issues.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 18. The game will release on the Nintendo Switch a week later on June 25.
