Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios released Expansion Pass 2 for Cities: Skylines II on September 15, 2026. Available on PC for $44.99, the pass includes seven pieces of content releasing between its launch and summer 2027. Paradox says the bundle offers up to 24% off compared with purchasing its contents individually.
The pass immediately unlocks the Downtown Market Set, a commercial set built around repurposed shipping containers, shops and food trucks. It also includes a Scottish-inspired temperate map featuring lochs, rivers and ruins. The remaining content includes two expansions, three creator packs and the Corner Street Beats in-game radio station.
Context Block
Expansion Pass 2 is Iceflake Studios’ first expansion-pass release for Cities: Skylines II since the studio took over development late last year, and its first wave of original content for the game. The pass focuses on park building, tourism, commercial spaces, residential buildings and emergency services infrastructure.
Its most prominent addition is Park Adventures, which is set to release later in 2026. The expansion introduces a modular system that lets players draw a park area and fill it with assets from four park types: city parks, zoos, amusement parks and nature reserves. Each type can be built separately or combined within the same area.
Parks progress as they attract visitors, unlocking assets as they level up. The new park economy gives players control over ticket prices, staff budgets and maintenance, with ratings tied to that management. Park Adventures includes more than 100 new assets and five new maps.
- Downtown Market Set – an instant unlock with commercial buildings and a Scottish-inspired temperate map
- Park Adventures – park building across city parks, zoos, amusement parks and nature reserves
- City Vacations – a tourism-focused expansion scheduled for April through June 2027
- Creator Pack: Modern Suburbs – contemporary low-rise residential buildings by Trist1322
- Creator Pack: First Response – emergency-service buildings by Arthaix
- Map Pack – seven maps by Uncle Ron inspired by tropical, alpine and desert locations
- Corner Street Beats – a radio station with music designed for city-building sessions
City Vacations will expand the game’s tourism systems with visitor-focused buildings, landmarks and attractions. Visitor numbers will shift with the seasons, while management tools will cover tourist arrival flows, preferred transport methods and where visitors spend money in a city. The expansion’s focus on transport and access means attractions are intended to be part of broader city planning rather than purely decorative additions.
The September 15 launch was also accompanied by the Autumn Breeze patch, which Paradox said includes improvements to gameplay, visuals and the user interface.
Editorial Verdict
Park Adventures appears to put its strongest emphasis on connecting parks to the wider city economy. Ticket prices, staffing and maintenance create room for players to manage attractions as part of a larger municipal budget, while the park-area tools support everything from a single zoo to a mixed entertainment district.
City Vacations extends that approach to tourism by tying visitor demand to seasons and giving players tools to manage how tourists arrive and move through the city. Together, the two expansions position Expansion Pass 2 around systems that connect new attractions to transport, spending and city management.
For players considering the pass, the immediate Downtown Market Set offers content at purchase, while Park Adventures and City Vacations make up the larger additions still to come. Park Adventures is due later in 2026, and City Vacations is scheduled for April through June 2027.
