Cyberpunk 2077 Surprise ‘Express Yourself’ Update Announced, Out Now

It may have been four years since the release of Cyberpunk 2077, but CD Projekt Red had more to reveal for the futuristic RPG. Despite previously suggesting new content support had been stopped, a new patch featuring loads of new content was just announced and is available to download right now!

Patch 2.2, known as the ‘Express Yourself’ update, almost doubles character creator options with 122 new additional choices, from tattoos to hairstyles, eyes to faceplates and more. Players can also customize their car colours on four in-game car brands, along with ten entirely new cars to choose from. Photo mode users will also get some love, with new features to capture images, lighting options, and even the chance to frame your favorite pictures within your in-game apartment. On top of these additions, there are secret updates such as world events, gameplay changes and bug fixes.

Perhaps most surprising about this surprise update is the fact that it wasn’t actually fully developed by CD Projekt Red, but rather with assistance from Virtuos Studios. Outsourcing quality of life and customisation options seems to be a great idea for the studio that’s currently already busy working on both The Witcher 4 and a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. With both games likely far away, supporting the games they have with a new pair of hands is sure to keep fans engaged.
