We should have guessed that given the popularity of the first two Dark Souls games we would end up seeing a third game get released for the series. While Bandai Namco has not made any official announcements about a third game in the popular franchise a piece of leaked artwork discovered by IGN pretty much confirms that Darks Souls 3 is indeed real and coming in the future. As of now Bandai Namco refuses to comment on the legitimacy of the artwork but it does seem to confirm that Dark Souls 3 is real.
Through the leaked artwork a release window for the game places its release sometime early next year and an official announcement should be made at E3 confirming that fans can get excited for a third installment.
