For players who prefer gaming solo, chat bubbles may be distracting. The presence of a chat bubble can be disruptive to their gaming experience. Thankfully, there is an option to disable them in Diablo IV. Though this setting does not completely prevent all messages from appearing on-screen, it does provide a way to limit certain types of messages.

To disable the chat bubble feature in Diablo IV, you can follow the steps outlined below.

  • Press the ESC button to open the main menu.
  • Click on the Options menu.
  • Select the Social tab from the top.
  • Now, scroll down and locate the Chat Bubble section.
  • Once you see it, unselect all the options, especially the “Join Local Chat Channel” and “Join Trade Chat Channel” boxes.

Applying this setting will turn off the chat bubbles for a distraction-free gaming experience. If you want to revert this change and enable the chat feature in the future, simply repeat the instructions specified above. You can also choose to only see certain types of chat bubbles and not others.
