The actor who portrayed Nintendo’s Donkey Kong in the summer of 2013 is suing the company for poor working conditions that have caused permanent damage to his heart,the LA Times reports.
During May 2013, Parker Mills was hired to play the ape in the launch event for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, says the times.
Mills says that he was not allowed to take a single break, and wasn’t provided with ice packs that were required to keep him cool while in the suit at the event in the LA Zoo. According to his attorney, Mills suffered a tear in his aortic wall, causing permanent damage, and had to undergo surgery and have a heart defibrillator implant.
