The March monthly games have been announced for PlayStation Plus subscribers to redeem on all tiers of subscription level, from essential to premium. Surprisingly though, this includes the recently released Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Despite only releasing four months ago, the big-budget title will become essentially free to the millions subscribed to PlayStation Plus on March 4.
It’s not a great sign for the game, but at this point the commercial opinion of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has already been established, after EA slashed jobs at developer BioWare due to the failure of the game financially – 50% below sales expectations. This was initially reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, and has since been corroborated across the industry. The addition of Dragon Age‘s latest entry to PlayStation Plus so soon is a sad sight given the franchise’s former dominance in gaming. We hope to see better things for Mass Effect.
That’s not all PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting with their March monthly games though! On March 4 all subscribers will also get access to Sonic Colors: Ultimate from the PS4, as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection from PS4 and PS5. This is quite the mixed selection, but it gives players on their PS4/5 a lot of variety to choose from! These games will be redeemable until March 31.
