Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers Oct. 7 – 13, as Studio Zero’s latest RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio takes first place following critical acclaim! Thanks to a little under 83,000 sales with its PS5 release, the game secures an easy number one. The PS4 release charted seperately at #4, selling an additional 25,000 units – for a total first week of 108,000 sales.
Metaphor: ReFantasio is just one of a few big releases scooping up the sales this week, as Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO takes #2 with its PS5 release, and selling a whopping 64,000 units. That’s not all – as the remake of Silent Hill 2 follows at #3 with 29,000 sales – giving the PS5 the top three games of the week! Those that follow with us regularly know that Nintendo tend to rule the sales charts, but the onslaught of quality new releases has pushed Nintendo’s latest Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom down to #5, with less than 20,000 sales in its first week.

Here’s the full Famitsu software sales chart for Oct. 7 – 13. Missed our last report where Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom held the top spot for its second week in a row? Check out the previous Famitsu chart right here!
