Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers Sept. 30 – Oct. 6, as The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has its second week on top after its debut. Sales dropped a pretty average 76% in the second week on sale, selling a little over 48,000 copies. The game is all but guaranteed to cross the 250,000 sales mark by next week’s report, so stay tuned!
There were two game debuts on the chart this week too, with Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream taking #2 and #3 with its Switch and PS5 release respectively – and a total combined sales of over 23,000 units. Down at #9, the “intense and passionate” romance visual novel game Honey Vibes sold a little under 5,000 copies and secured its space on the chart. Sadly, Astro Bot has now left the chart.
