Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers Oct. 21 – 27, as Super Mario Party Jamboree scores a second week atop the sales chart, thanks to a solid 81,000 more units sold, pushing the game’s total to over 300,000 in just two weeks.
It’s also been a big week for new games on the Famitsu chart, as Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, a remake of the iconic 1993 JRPG, charts three times, thanks to its Switch, PS5 and PS4 release. Combined, the game sold over 114,000 copies – putting it in a solid #1 spot if the Famitsu chart had games merged!
This week also saw the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 which charted on PS5 with just shy of 27,000 sales, the release of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake which sells just under 20,000 copies across Switch and PS5, and then scraping in at #10 is the new Sonic X Shadow Generations on Switch.
