The worm is a bug that you may not find right away as a beginner. To start, you need to have the mines unlocked, as your required bug is residing in the mines, but we’ll explain how to do that too. The worm has a few uses in the game so make sure you don’t miss out on catching it!

How To Get Worm In Fields Of Mistria

Request For Bait Quest
Worms are needed for the ‘Request for Bait’ quest

Before you catch a Worm, make sure you have a bug catching net. You can obtain a worn net by completing Luc’s quest “Something’s Bugging Me“. You can also craft a net at the blacksmith workstation using ingots. You need to increase your town’s renown level to 10 to unlock the Mines.

There are quite a few different ways to get insects including cutting trees and then swooping the bugs with your Net, however the worm can only be found inside the mines. You have to look for it on the upper floors of mines ranging from 1-20.  If you keep mining and breaking rocks, there are chances that you will stumble upon a worm eventually. You might want to consider upgrading your Pickaxe with Ingots if you want to break rocks quickly without using a lot of stamina.

You can recognize the worm with its small brown slithery body, all you need to do once you spot one is swoop it in with your bug net. If you donate a worm to the museum, you will complete one entry in the upper mines insect set, you can also complete Terithia’s quest “Request For Bait“, in which she will give you 40 tesserae as a reward. You can also sell the worm you have caught for 15 tesserae if you want some quick money! We hope our guide helped you catch a worm and using it in the game, let us know down below if you’ve got any lingering questions.
