Fire Emblem Engage: How to Claim the Fire Emblem Heroes Bonus Bond Rings & Weapons

The newly released tactical strategy title Fire Emblem Engage shares more than just a franchise and title with the mobile app Fire Emblem Heroes. Both games involve the protagonist partnering up with characters from throughout the Fire Emblem series to battle and defeat their foes. With how similar they are, it’s only natural that a crossover between the two games would also exist.

Currently, none of the Heroes-exclusive characters show up in Engage as summon-able Emblems. However, Princess Veronica of Embla is planned to be added to the third wave of DLC. Until then, players can unlock a special Heroes-related bonus via the app. This bonus comes in the form of three weapons and three Bond Rings modeled after Heroes’ main characters: Prince Alfonse, Princess Sharena, and Commander Anna. Bond Rings are accessory rings that can increase a unit’s stats in battle as well as grant them special abilities. Here’s how to unlock these special bonus Bond Rings inspired by Fire Emblem Heroes.

Create a Fire Emblem Heroes Account & Link Your Nintendo Account

Heroes1

To unlock these bonuses, you first need to create a Fire Emblem Heroes account. The app is available on both Android and iOS smart devices. If you are solely interested in claiming the bonus items, don’t worry – you only need to create an account and beat the prologue of Heroes to unlock them. You can feel free to delete the app once you’ve claimed your bonus if you have no interest in playing Heroes further.

When you create a Fire Emblem Heroes account, you will be prompted to link your My Nintendo account. In order to claim the bonus, you must link the same Nintendo account to Fire Emblem Heroes that you are using to play Fire Emblem Engage.

Find & Input the Bonus Code

Heroes3

On the home screen of Fire Emblem Heroes, click on the statue labeled “Quests & Missions” at the bottom right. Then, click on the blue and gold coin icon that appears in the top right. This icon will likely be flashing, meaning that you have unclaimed rewards you can grab.

Once you click on this icon, you will be taken to the My Nintendo Rewards menu. There, you will see a free reward called “Nintendo Switch Game Bonus Code + 5 Orbs.” Click on this to discover a 16-digit code. (The 5 Orbs given as part of this bonus are items used to summon new characters in Fire Emblem Heroes, and cannot be used in Engage.)

Write down, copy, or otherwise save this bonus code. Then, on your Nintendo Switch, go to the Nintendo eShop and scroll down until you reach the option “Redeem Code.” Enter the code in the space provided to unlock the “Order of Heroes Item Set.”

Claim Your Prize

Heroes2

Finally, open Fire Emblem Engage and you should automatically receive your prize. If you do not, you may need to restart the game for the bonus to appear. Keep in mind that, as you cannot receive or use bonus items prior to Chapter 3 of the game, if you are not yet at Chapter 3, the items will not be given to you until you reach that point. You will get them the first time you enter the Somniel, the relaxing hub that you can visit between battles.

The contents of the Order of Heroes Item Set are as follows:

  • Folkvangr, Prince Alfonse’s sword (Grants Attack+3 if user’s HP is 50% or less)
  • Fensalir, Princess Sharena’s lance (Inflicts Attack-2 on adjacent foes at the start of player phase)
  • Noatun, Commander Anna’s axe (Grants Move+1 if user’s HP is 40% or less)
  • Alfonse Bond Ring (+2 HP, +2 Strength, +1 Defense, Spur Attack skill – Allies adjacent to the unit at the start of turn get +2 Attack for that turn)
  • Sharena Bond Ring (+2 HP, +1 Speed, +2 Defense, Fortify Defense skill – Allies adjacent to the unit at the start of turn get +2 Defense for that turn)
  • Anna Bond Ring (+2 HP, +2 Speed, +1 Resistance, Spur Resistance skill – Allies adjacent to the unit at the start of turn get +2 Resistance for that turn)

These weapons and Bond Rings are extremely powerful, so you should definitely make sure to claim this reward as soon as possible! You can also check out GameLuster’s other guides for more information about Fire Emblem Engage, including how to unlock the currently available DLC Emblems.
