Fire Emblem Engage features twelve Emblems – rings hosting characters from previous Fire Emblem titles – that players can collect throughout the game. However, you can also purchase a DLC Season Pass to unlock even more Emblems featuring fan favorite characters. Once you’ve purchased the DLC, there are a few things you will need to do in-game before you can access your new Emblems.
One of the Emblems currently available as part of the Season Pass for Fire Emblem Engage is the Emblem of Rivals. This is a bracelet that contains not one character but three – Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude, the leaders of the three titular houses from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. When equipped on a character, the Emblem of Rivals provides stat boosts and allows players to access the legendary weapons Aymr, Areadbhar, and Failnaught, as well as perform powerful attacks like “Houses Unite,” which deals large axe, lance, and bow damage at once.
Here is how to gain access to the bracelet of Rivals and add Emblems Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude to your team in Fire Emblem Engage.
Buy the Season Pass DLC
First, you must purchase the Season Pass DLC for Fire Emblem Engage. This DLC costs $29.99 and is available exclusively via the Nintendo eShop. In addition to the Emblem of Rivals, the current wave of DLC includes a bracelet for the Emblem of Dragons, Tiki from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, several stat-boosting items, and maid- and butler-themed outfits and glasses accessories for all playable characters.
Three more waves of DLC are currently planned. The contents of these waves will include new Emblems, new support items, new classes, and additional story content featuring new playable characters. The other three waves of DLC included in the Season Pass are currently scheduled to release throughout late 2023 and early 2024.
View the Lookout Ridge Event After Chapter 6
In between battles in Fire Emblem Engage, players can hang out on a floating island called the Somniel. The Somniel includes a number of functions such as the ability to view Support conversations between units, eat stat-boosting meals, and interact with various animals. The Somniel becomes available in Chapter 3: Hostilities. However, the event that unlocks Emblem Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude requires you to first complete Chapter 6: The Stolen Ring.
After completing Chapter 6, head to the Somniel. Once you arrive, you’ll get a message saying that something is happening at Lookout Ridge. Head to this location – you can either fast-travel or walk there – and you’ll find the Three Houses lords bickering. Luckily, protagonist Alear will remember the phrase to activate their bracelet, and the three Emblems will agree to temporarily put aside their differences and join your forces.
Once the event is completed, you can view the Emblem of Rivals bracelet and its associated skills and weapons in the Ring Chamber in the Somniel. You can use the Emblem Rings menu to equip the bracelet to any unit before going out to battle.
You do not need to complete any battle or paralogue in order to access the Emblem of Rivals. However, the other DLC Emblem currently available – the Emblem of Dragons, Tiki – and other future DLC Emblems will require you to complete Divine Paralogues to add them to your ranks. Divine Paralogues are accessible from the world map once you have unlocked the Emblem of Rivals.
