It can be expected these days that when a big game is on its way it is going to come with two things, firstly a special collector’s edition and secondly a season pass. Which of course is precisely the case with Gears of War 4, except developer The Coalition has chosen to provide the game with an ultimate edition which is likely to confuse players of last years Gears of War remake. The Ultimate Edition of Gears of War 4 will come with the game, season pass, limited edition SteelBook and four days early access (Friday October 7). It will cost consumers $99.95 USD.
In addition The Coalition has also detailed the additional content that will be coming to the game, for starters multiplayer maps will be given for free, however these will run on a rotation system changing each month and you will not get to keep them. That is unless you purchase the season pass (sold individually for $49.99) or get the Ultimate Edition. It does also come with an exclusive Vintage VIP Pack that comes with a Vintage JD character model, and two weapon skins.
Gears of War 4 will arrive on the Xbox One on October 11th.
