Genshin Impact: How To Build Lyney

Lyney is one of the first five-star characters from the Fontaine region introduced in Genshin Impact version 4.0. If you manage to get this magician from Gacha, you can check out this handy guide to find out the best build for Lyney!

Genshin Impact Best Lyney Build

Lyney is a five-star bow user with Pyro Vision. Like Ayato, you can only get him from limited-time Wish that features him. He is a strong character who can dish out powerful AoE Pyro DMG while still capable of unleashing single-target DMG.

  • Weapon: The First Great Magic
    • Alternative: Aqua Simulacra, Thundering Pulse, Scion of the Blazing Sun
  • Artifact Set: Marechaussee Hunter
    • Main Stats:
      • Sands – ATK
      • Goblet – Pyro DMG Bonus
      • Circlet – CRIT DMG
    • Secondary Stats: CRIT DMG, Energy Recharge, ATK%, CRIT Rate
  • Constellation: C2
  • Talent Priority: Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst

Genshin Impact Lyney Skill

As usual, the best gear for Lyney is his signature weapon, The First Great Magic, with its CRIT DMG main stat. This bow is amazing if you are running a mono-Pyro team with Lyney as the main DPS. For each Pyro character you have in your ream, you can get one Gimmick stack, which will boost his ATK. You can get up to three stacks, and it will raise Lyney’s ATK by 48 percent

For Artifact, you should equip the Marechaussee Hunter set, which can boost Lyney’s Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 15 percent. Its four-piece set effect can offer a CRIT Rate boost whenever Lyney’s HP fluctuates.

If you plan to get copies of Lyney, you should aim to unlock his C2, Loquatious Cajoling. This Constellation lets him gain a Crisp Focus stack every two seconds, which can increase his CRIT DMG up to 60 percent. Be warned that this buff will be canceled when Lyney leaves the Field.

When upgrading his Talents, you should prioritize leveling up his Normal Attack because his main source of damage is from the Grin-Malkin Hat. Afterward, you can level up both his Elemental Skill and Burst if you want to get extra damage.
