Genshin Impact Hydro Tulpa World Boss Guide
The Hydro Tulpa World Boss is hiding in an underwater cave in the Beryl region in Fontaine. You can find the entrance to this location on the northwest side of the Chemin de L’Espoir underwater region. Here is an image of its exact position:
Before entering the boss arena, I highly recommend activating the Teleport Waypoint inside the cave so you can fast-travel to this location in the future. Once you are ready, you can approach the swirling water at the center of the field to summon Hydro Tulpa.
This boss attacks using Hydro, but it does not have any weakness against Pyro or other elements. During the battle, the monster can summon several smaller versions of itself called Half-Tulpa, and you must break their Hydro Shield to destroy these creatures.
You should try to destroy all Half-Tulpa before the boss has a chance to absorb these monsters. If you fail, Hydro Tulpa will gain a temporary buff that will increase the damage of its next attack.
Hydro Tulpa has a variety of AoE attacks that you need to be careful of. Here is the list:
- Spear Throw – The boss hurls a massive spear toward your position.
- Sword Strikes – It summons a sword and performs two wide swings.
- Hammer Slam – The monster will swing the hammer twice before slamming it to the ground.
- Rain of Spears – Hydro Tulpa rains down water spears from the sky. You need to back away from the boss to avoid the three massive spears that will spawn around it.
