Ghostwire: Tokyo: How To Get Rid Of Fog

Nothing good ever comes out of the fog, and that goes double for video games. In Ghostwire: Tokyo, the fog itself is a danger; simply walking into it will start draining Akito’s health. That’s rather spooky on its own, but in reality, it’s just meant to gate you off from accessing certain parts of the map.

No one likes to be told where they can or can’t go, especially in an open-world game. This version of Tokyo is far too detailed and fun to explore to leave hidden in the fog, so let’s clear the air and get rid of all this nasty smoke. This guide will tell you exactly how to get rid of this deadly fog in Ghostwire: Tokyo!

How To Get Rid Of Fog In Ghostwire: Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo fog

Clearing the fog that chokes the streets of Tokyo is always done the same way, but you aren’t required to do it outside of a few occasions to progress the main story. The method will be to visit the Torii Gates located within each district and cleanse them. Along with that, certain gates can’t be reached until you make enough story progress, so no, you can’t immediately go and clear the entire map out first thing.

You can see any known Torii Gates by opening your map and looking for the symbol of a, well, Torii Gate. If the icon is white, that means you have yet to cleanse that gate, while the orange ones are already clean. Don’t go in with a bucket of water and a sponge, though! Cleansing these gates is a magical process and one the hostile ghosts and ghouls infesting Tokyo aren’t too keen on letting you perform.

Most gates are guarded by a group of normal foes, but occasionally a larger, more dangerous specter will appear when you begin the cleansing process. You’ll have to deal with them first before finishing up with the gate. Another possible wrinkle is, instead of a single gate, you will need to find three smaller gates within the area and cleanse each of those. In short, be ready for anything!

With that, the streets of Tokyo will be a little safer. To make sure you’re up to snuff when raiding these gates in Ghostwire: Tokyo, make sure you’ve upgraded your health and increased your SP.
