GTA V meets Godzilla. That’s perhaps the most perfect sentence in the English language. And now there's a new mod featuring the iconic monster rampaging through the city of Los Santos is inarguably one of the most epic, and hilarious spectacles you’ll ever see. A modder by the name of JulioNIB, responsible for some ingenious mods in the past, has now installed the prehistoric sea monster into the world of Rockstar’s crime epic.

The clip of the monster in action is rather spectacular, including some insane sound design and dazzling visuals as Godzilla breathes atomic breath down on the city. While the destruction mechanics leave something to be desired, Godzilla’s firepower can wipe out cars, planes, and helicopters, and the ant-sized population far below.

As someone who indulges in weekly GTA Online matches with friends, Godzilla would certainly be a game-changer and tip the scales in my favour. The mod is still in development, but at this stage, it sure looks impressive. JulioNIB has even posted a short gif to his Twitter account featuring Godzilla blasting a helicopter from the sky in slow motion, and it is, (forgive the pun), breath-taking.

JulioNIB has even created a Homelander mod. For those uninitiated, Homelander is the central antagonist from Amazon Prime's The Boys, (played by Antony Starr).

Elsewhere for GTA V, It was announced last week that from December 2021, GTA Online will soon be shutting down on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rockstar confirmed in a statement that the changes would “have no impact on access to, or progress within, the Grand Theft Auto V Story Mode.”

Rockstar also announced a release date for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The New York studio further promised “special benefits” would be included within the summer updates to GTA Online
