Ninja Theory’s dark fantasy action game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is being adapted to VR. This release will be HTC Vive and Oculus Rift compatible. And guess what? It’s completely free update for people who already own it on PC. Those who buy the base game will also receive VR compatibility.
Hellblade is a psychological horror game that revolves around Celtic culture and Norse Myth. You play as Senua as she traverses Helheim in order to save her lover’s soul from hell, and its ruler Hela. Upon her arrival at the bridge to Hellheim, she faces off against the fire giant Surt and a specter well versed in illusions. She wins the battle against them, but is in turn utterly defeated by Hela with one attack before she crosses the bridge. With her sword shattered from the encounter with Hela, Senua must overcome obstacles to obtain the god-killing sword Gramr.
It has puzzles you must solve, and requires you defeat standard enemies and bosses in order to progress through the game. The VR edition will debut on July 31, 2018, but in the meantime the original is playable now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
