Jump Force Story Mode Trailer Releases, Four More Characters Announced

A new trailer has released for Jump Force, alongside the announcement of a few new playable characters.

The new trailer for the upcoming fighter (seen below), shows that the heroes from the different manga worlds, collectively known as “Jump,” have banded together to form a team known as the “Jump Force.” Their job is to stop the various villains of their worlds from doing evil.

The trailer also shows off the game’s character creation mode. Players will be able to choose from a number of outfits, hair styles, and accessories for the fighters that they make. They will also be able to choose the moves that these characters will be able to use. This includes Naruto’s Rasengan and Goku’s Spirit Bomb.

Along with the release of the trailer, four new characters have been announced for Jump Force’s large cast. The latest issue of V-Jump released in Japan revealed that Boa Hancock from One Piece, Trunks from Dragon Ball Z, and Renji Abarai from Bleach will be playable. It was also recently revealed on Bandai Namco’s Twitter page that Izuku “Deku” Midoriya from My Hero Academia will be joining the game’s roster.

Boa, Trunks, Renji, and Deku join a large and diverse cast of fighters in Jump Force. Other characters include Luffy and Zoro from One Piece, Yusuke and Younger Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho, Pegasus Seiya from Saint Seiya, Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh, and Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. Not all characters that have been announced will be playable, though they will play a role in Jump Force’s story. This includes Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note.

Jump Force will make its way to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Feb. 15, 2019.
