One of the most prominent fashion icons in Hyrule, Cece, needs help with the mayoral elections in Hateno Village. In return, she will give her most famous Hat. But obtaining the Hat is tied to a lengthy process, including a series of quests that most players might not be aware of. How To Get Cece’s Hat In Tears Of The Kingdom
In order to obtain Cece’s Hat, you must complete a quest named “The Mayoral Election,” which consists of 5 different side adventures. Here is how to unlock and complete each one:
Quest – Team Cece Or Team Reede?
In this quest, you must support Cece for the election by talking to her and exhausting her dialogue options. (Cece can be found inside her clothing boutique in Hateno Village) After that, you must gift Hylian Shrooms to eight specific people around Hateno Village.
Below is the list of people you need to give Hylian Shrooms to:
Medda: You can locate her in or near Hateno School.
Dantz: You can find Dantz doing his work in Hateno Pasture.
Worten: You can discover Worten in the Hateno Village Inn.
Uma: You can find Uma tending the Hateno fields.
Koyin: Koyin can be found near the dock of the Lake in Hateno Village.
Leop: Leop’s location is not fixed anywhere, as he keeps wandering around in the Hateno Village. It’s better if you come searching for him during midday.
Tamana: Similar to Leop, Tamana roams around Hateno Village as well. She often hangs out near the entrance gate during the nighttime.
Tokk: You can find this old man in Hateno’s Ancient Tech Lab area.
Quest – A Letter To Koyin
This is an easy quest to complete. All you need to do is talk to Koyin near the dock in Hateno Pasture and bring her the floating bottle from the middle of the small pond. On the right side of the dock, you can collect the logs and combine them with a Zonai fan using your Ultrahand ability to make a small raft. Doing so will help you reach the bottle in the pond. Talk to Koyin once more to have her read the letter and remember the recipe for Hateno Cheese.
Quest – A New Signature Food
After doing all the necessary work in the previous quest, A Letter To Koyin, you will now have to head to Koyin’s house, located near the docks in Hateno Pasture. There, collect a specific food item, Hateno Cheese. Bring a piece of Hateno Cheese to Mayor Reede in his house to complete this quest.
Quest – Cece’s Secret
You can start the Cece’s Secret quest by talking to her sister, Sophie, near Cece’s shop. Sophie will then ask you to follow Cece during the nighttime by keeping a safe distance from her so that you don’t get caught. Stay hidden and wear your stealth-boosting armor, as Cece is alert to her surroundings when walking down the path.
After following Cece for some time, you will eventually find her inside a locked building Your job here is to watch out for what Cece is up to. Now, since you cannot get inside the house through the door, use the window to help yourself get inside the house and spy on Cece. Once you’ve done this, head back and talk to Sophie to finish this quest.
Quest – Reede’s Secret
You can start the Reede’s Secret quest by talking to Reede’s wife, Clavia, inside Reede’s house. She will also tell you to follow Reede during the nighttime. You need to follow Reede and get inside his secret room by jumping into the Hateno Village West Well and then using the Ascend ability to enter through the ceiling.
Once you get in the room, quickly read Reede’s journal without getting caught and then return to Clavia to tell her everything about what’s written in it. With this, Reede’s Secret will be completed.
After finishing all the quests, head to Cece’s shop, talk with Sophie, and wait until a short cutscene plays. Once that is over, you can go to Cece and collect the ultimate Hat from her.
