One of the most anticipated crossovers in gaming is finally happening, as LEGO has officially confirmed that they will be partnering with Pokémon in 2026 for a range of LEGO Pokémon sets. A short teaser video has been shared which you can watch below, where we see a LEGO Pikachu tail moving to tease what’s to come with the crossover.
LEGO states that fans should “get ready to build and catch some of their favorite Pokémon”, and this combined with the Pikachu tail suggests that these LEGO sets will be buildable Pokémon models. Personally I’d also love if we got some buildable locations or items like a Poké Ball, but I won’t get greedy! As they clarify on the official site FAQ, LEGO has never before made a Pokémon set, so we’re in for something new here. Pokémon has collaborated with other brick-building brands like MEGA, but with LEGO being the leading building toy brand we’re sure the collaboration here will be extra special.
If you’re looking forward to whatever LEGO Pokémon sets get revealed, you can sign up on the LEGO website now with their Insiders programme to receive updates as they release. We can only hope that this collaboration doesn’t became as sought after – and as scalped by resellers – as the current state of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
There’s a lot of Pokémon to choose from, so let’s see which ones LEGO and The Pokémon Company select for the collaboration! Which Pokémon are you hoping receive a LEGO set, and what other LEGO Nintendo crossovers do you want to see next?
