Len’s Island is a survival crafting game, which can be played solo or with up to seven friends. While the rest of the land has been corrupted, the game takes you to the unknown islands to begin a new life. You can grow crops, build structures, and explore dungeons in Len’s Island, but you’ll have to be wary, as the dungeons are full of void creatures that won’t stop at anything to kill you. If you’re just starting Len’s Island, these beginner tips will help you get up to speed in no time.
1. Unlock Fishing As Soon As Possible

Fishing can be unlocked by purchasing the fishing rod from the docks in Bridgewater Town. You’ll have to interact with the fishing rod in the display case to purchase it. It costs 10 Gold to purchase the fishing rod, but once you’ve bought it, earning Gold will become a lot easier in the game.
You can earn a lot of Gold by selling all the fish that you’ve caught, and there are plenty of places to fish. You can spot the tiny whirlpools with fish swimming in them in any body of water. If you throw your lure in these whirlpools, you’re guaranteed a catch.
2. Light Torches In The Dungeon To Avoid Getting Lost

The underground dungeon in Len’s Island is an easy place to get lost. The minimap doesn’t help that much when the entirety of the dungeon looks the same, and even adjusting your camera a little bit can make you lose track of where you came from and where you’re supposed to go.
Fortunately, there are plenty of torches inside the dungeon, which can be lit up by using coal. Coal can be mined easily from the dungeon in huge quantities. All you have to do is mark your way by lighting up the torches so you know the way back. And, once it’s time to head back, you can unlit the torches or leave them on so you can get back to your desired destination.
3. Build Your Farm Frames Near A Water Source

In order to grow crops, you must build farm frames. Each frame has space for growing six seeds or one tree. Once you’ve planted the crops inside a farm frame, you’ll need to water them with a watering can. The watering can depletes over time, and you can only water your crops with a filled watering can a couple of times, so you’ll often have to make trips to a water source to fill it up again.
You can fill up your watering can with seawater or from any of the rivers flowing through the island. Placing your farm frames near a source of water makes it easy for you to water them repeatedly.
4. Don’t Hesitate to Explore

You can travel to other islands by building a raft. These islands may have towns where you can buy and sell different materials and resources. Additionally, you can also forage for a variety of items from new areas, which can then be sold for some extra Gold.
Exploring the islands can be fun, and you shouldn’t hesitate to do so just because you’re underleveled. These new areas may have better resources, which can easily let you upgrade your tools and weapons to increase your productivity and strength.
5. Focus On Upgrading Tools Instead Of Weapons

Certain resources, such as sharp iron, are limited and difficult to gather. If you’ve only got enough materials to upgrade one tool or weapon, you should always go for tools. Upgrading weapons makes it easier to fight against void creatures, but you’ll get a lot more benefits by upgrading tools instead.
As you progress, you’ll often come across resources that can only be gathered using higher-tier tools, and if you’ve invested in upgrading your tools first, you won’t likely face this problem and will be able to enjoy the game to the fullest. You could always use those new materials to go back and upgrade your weapons if you’re still need more power against enemies too!
