When Nintendo originally announced the upcoming downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 they had originally slated the second batch for release in May with an unknown release date being given. However during today’s presentation Nintendo was proud to announced that this was not going to plan, however this was in a good way, Nintendo announced that Mario Kart 8’s second batch of downloadable content would be coming sooner then expected, with the content now officially slated for a April 23rd release date. Not much else is known about the content but Nintendo has provided us with a look at the contents Animal Crossing course. The course is a faithful re-imagining of the Animal Crossing town, and better still each time you race there the seasons change between Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn, the music for the course has also been faithfully recorded by an orchestra to sound like the game. Who remember’s Mr. Resetti, if you do then you will be happy to now that he will be trying to hinder you as a stage hazard, this course seems like a whole lot of fun. Here is footage of the course:
