Mario Tennis Aces Tournament Demo Coming in June

A demo for Mario Tennis Aces is on the way.

Nintendo has announced that the tournament demo for Mario Tennis Aces will take place between June 1 at 6 p.m. PT to June 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The demo can be downloaded beginning May 24. During the tournament, gamers will be able to choose between four playable characters (Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser) as they compete in a series of online matches.

Winners of matches will receive points based on their performance. These points can be used to unlock an additional five playable characters. Nintendo is staying tight-lipped about who these characters are, stating that players will have to discover who they are by playing through the demo.

For those who do not want to play Mario Tennis Aces online, an offline mode will be available in the demo as well. In this mode, players can get some practice playing against AI opponents.

Everyone who tries out the demo, both online and offline, will unlock Mario’s classic outfit for the game when it officially releases.

Nintendo also released a trailer for Mario Tennis Aces’ Adventure Mode, which can be seen below. The trailer shows Luigi getting into a bit of trouble, with Mario having to set out in order to save him.

Mario Tennis Aces releases on June 22 for the Switch.
