Microsoft seeks to bring out a better graphical performance in its Xbox One without Kinect

Microsoft has a new goal in mind after it’s announcement the other day of the new Xbox One bundle that comes without a Kinect. Apparently Microsoft seeks to bring out a better graphical performance in its consoles and is talking to publishers about making use of it for future games to make them all look better.

Company executive Yusuf Mehdi told Polygon:

“We are in discussions with our game publishers about what we might do in this space and we will have more to talk about soon.”

Apparently as it stands right now a portion of the Xbox Ones performance is dedicated to the Kinect and can’t be fully accessed without the loss of the Kinect because of some of it’s functions. This takes place whether you’re playing a game, using an app, or even just sitting on your dashboard.

I don’t entirely understand how you can make something look better at all and improve graphical performance as I still think that games look the same now as they did during the last console generation but I wish Microsoft luck in their goal and I hope they succeed to bring out all the consoles potential.
