Microsoft’s Games With Gold Revealed For December 2018

The year is quickly drawing to a close with December already here seemingly faster than we can blink. With a new month comes the latest batch of free game offerings for Games With Gold subscribers to sink their teeth into.

For the Xbox One, the service offers subscribers the first-person puzzle game Q.U.B.E. 2 running for the entirety of December. Meanwhile from Dec. 16 to Jan. 15, Games With Gold will offer the side-scrolling adventure game Never Alone, a game that developed in partnership with the Alaskan Native Community to tell some of their stories.

On the Xbox 360 side, subscribers will be able to get their hands on Bioware’s classic fantasy romp Dragon Age 2, which will be available for the first half of the month. December will also see a slight change from the normalcy of the offerings with an original Xbox title being available: the original Xbox’s Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. This shows a potential expansion for what the service might offer in 2019. Mercenaries will be available Dec. 16-31.

In line with Microsoft’s push for more backwards compatibility, both Dragon Age 2 and Mercenaries will playable on Xbox One.

If you still wanted to pick up November’s Games with Gold, you still have three days to snag Battlefield 1 and Dante’s Inferno. Additionally, Race the Sun will remain available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers until Dec. 15.
