Nintendo upcoming system the Nintendo NX is currently a serious enigma, since its reveal back in 2015 we have learned next to nothing that we can consider real besides an expected release in 2017. Yet even subtly we do learn new pieces of information about the system all the time, and the newest piece comes from Miyamoto in an interview with the Associated Press.
Miyomoto sites a special “idea” when it comes to the Nintendo NX, even suggesting this is why we have heard nothing major on the system as of yet. In an industry where ideas are frequently stolen and reworked Nintendo must have a big idea that they don’t wish Microsoft or Sony to know about. This comment on the NX was brought on by being asked about the other companies and their new systems the Scorpio and Neo to which he didn’t want to comment sharing:
“In terms of NX, there’s an idea that we’re working on. That’s why we can’t share anything at this point, and I don’t want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker.”
