Miyamoto says Zelda is still coming to Wii U, “great footage” to show at a later date

It was disappointing when Zelda U made no appearance during today’s Digital Event, as if there was any doubt in our mind that Zelda U was not coming to the Wii U after the games absence Miyamoto cleared things up by saying the game is still in the works. He has also stated that there is some pretty big footage coming for the game in the future, it remains to be seen whether we will see Zelda U this year or whether the footage will arrive around this time next year. For now we will have to be patient and wait, and this is what Miyamoto had to say:

We’re here to talk about Star Fox but Zelda is still coming to Wii U. My thing with E3 is that we always focus on what’s coming out in the immediate future. We have some really great Zelda footage and, at some point we will be showing that off, but not today.
