Star Fox Zero will have no online multiplayer mode

Disappointing news has been revealed for Star Fox Zero, for those hoping Star Fox Zero would feature online multiplayer, it has been revealed by Shigeru Miyamoto that the game will not feature online play. Miyamoto himself has stated that within the game their focus is strictly on the single player campaign and ensuring the game runs at a solid 60 frames per second.

Online Multiplayer itself though has not been ruled out entirely, Miyamoto has also said if they decide later on it will be good it could be added but for now it is not happening, Miyamoto had this to say:

“So, we’re really prioritising getting this new game playing at 60 frames-per-second. In previous Star Fox games we had focused a lot on dogfighting, but here we’re really focused more the single-player experience.

“Of course, as we continue on and once people get a feeling for the game… as the process continues if we find that we do think it’d be really good we’ll definitely consider it, but right now we’re not.”

This does not provide any information on whether the game will feature local multiplayer which still remains up in the air.
