Nintendo is getting set to expand the Mario series amiibo line to include multiple new characters, as well as new poses for a few older characters. This expanded line will include Daisy, Waluigi, and Boo as newcomers, while Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Rosalina, and Wario will be recieving new figures featuring some new poses. My assumption is that these amiibo's are being made to tie in with a series of upcoming games, as well as older games such as Mario Party 10, and Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, I also would not be surprised if these were compatible with Paper Mario Color Splash.
Whether you like amiibo's or not this is a great move by Nintendo to expand the brand especially when there is a market for Waluigi amiibo's, and in a cooler move Nintendo is also making the Boo amiibo glow in the dark so I found my new nightlight. These will be released to tie in with the new Mario Party Star Rush on November 4th, and you can find Nintendo's full statement below:
Also on Nov. 4, Nintendo will launch new amiibo in the Super Mario series. The collection will feature the debut of amiibo figures for Daisy, Waluigi and Boo – and the Boo amiibo figure glows in the dark! The collection also introduces new poses for Wario, Rosalina, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
