Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters Leaked

Since the very recent reveal of Mortal Kombat 1, news about the game has been spreading like wildfire—including some of its first DLC pack’s leaked characters. This leak originated from a listing for MK1, now taken off of Amazon Italy. According to EventHubs, this DLC pack, assumed to be first of many if the franchise’s past games are anything to go by, will include a total of eleven characters. Six of these characters will be playable, and five of them will be Kameo Fighters, a new feature being introduced in MK1.

The six playable characters include Quan Chi, Takeda, Ermac, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander, while the Kameo characters will be Khameleon, Mavado, Tremor, Johnny Cage, and Ferra. Fans may notice that not all of these characters are from the beloved Mortal Kombat series—Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni-Man are all guest characters, each from different superhero shows.

The news of Mortal Kombat 1 was just announced by Warner Bros. Games on May 18, and the first trailer shared some of their anticipated returning characters, such as Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden. Though these characters are coming back, they’re not without a revamp—or as the developers have called them, “reimagined versions of iconic characters.”

The last Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat 11, was released back in April 2019. In 2021, NetherRealm said that it would be focusing on its next project, and now that project has come to light. With new features and a story to tell, Mortal Kombat 1 is something to look forward to for the series’ fans.

Which DLC character are you most excited to see? Are you excited to see any of them at all? Is there a different character you would have liked to see? Let us know in the comments!

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S on September 19.
