A brand-new PS5 controller from Nacon has been announced. The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro launches in October and will be compatible for the PS4, PS5 and PC. The pad will be available in two colour schemes, black and white, and will be on sale for €229.90 in European territories, $244.50 in America, and £199 in the UK. The asymmetric controller, Nacon says, is “the ultimate controller for professional players” with a range of features to “improve precision and gaming performance.”
The Revolution 5 Pro has Magnetic Hall effect technology, meaning the sticks and triggers are designed to eliminate stick drift, a common issue with PS5 controllers, by increasing “precision and durability thanks to magnetic technology.”
A trigger blocker will customise the amplitude of the triggers to naturally adapt to varying styles of gameplay. The multipoint wireless connectivity allows players to “easily and instantly” switch across from console sound to Bluetooth peripheral, after connecting to a console.
The Revolution 5 Pro will be fully customisable in accordance with a PC/Mac app. An Android and iOS application will launch at the start of 2024. The pad, available for pre-order, will also come with a storage case, headset jack, configurable buttons, programmable triggers, and more than 10 hours of battery life. The D-pad has been designed in partnership with professional gamer Mister Crimson to deliver “exceptional control and precision” to players.
“This new model in the Revolution line is the culmination of years of development and NACON’s passion for gaming. We wanted to create the best controller possible, a controller that would give gamers the upper hand. The Revolution 5 Pro combines the best of our expertise, technological innovation, and ergonomics,” said Yannick Allaert, Head of Accessories Division at NACON (H/T GamesRadar).
