New Mode Coming to Battlefield V

A new game mode has been announced for Battlefield V.

On the game’s official Twitter account, it was announced that a new mode is being introduced to the upcoming shooter, entitled Airborne. According to the tweet, Airborne is “a new Battlefield V mode where you’ll parachute into the battlefield and work with your squad to destroy enemy artillery, or defend them and make sure the threat from above is dealt with.” No other information was given about the new mode.

This was not the only tweet that was released for the shooter. It was also revealed on Twitter that each player class will have individual progression trees, and will also have specialized Archetypes.

Last week, EA confirmed with Kotaku that there will not be loot boxes in Battlefield V. It was also announced that the upcoming shooter will not have a season pass. Players will not have to pay for maps or modes, nor will they have to pay for anything that can affect gameplay.

Battlefield V will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 16th. It is likely that we will see more information on the new Airborne mode at this year’s E3 event.
